Civil War Week Anniversary

The 150th Anniversary of the Civil War

One of the big topics of discussion out there last week was the 150th Anniversary of the Civil War. Well it would irresponsible to have a social studies blog that didn't talk about one of if the most important event in our history. The ramifications of the Slavery and the Civil War still have a major effect on how we interact as a society today. It was and still is the bloodiest conflict to ever involve the United States.

Studying the Civil War at schools in both the North and the South I find that there are very different views today on what really happened. Both sides appear to have a very idealistic view of their position and still blame the other for alot of what happened. So I figured I would take this blog time to talk a little about whats real in the the Civil War. Some people think that slavery was the cause of the Civil War. It was one of the causes not the cause of the war.

Viewpoint vs Reality

Both sides of the war believed that they were right and fighting for a noble cause and had to stop the others evil. In this section I will breakdown the perception each party wanted to convey and what is actually closer to the truth.

The Noble North- The Northern cause is sold as the noble federal government who was just trying to keep the United States intact. Everything that the North did was for the purpose of ending slavery and perserving the Union.

Civil War Myth / The Emanicpation Proclamation Freed the Slaves

During the Civil War Abraham Lincoln issued a document known as the Emancipation Proclamation in 1863.

  1. Surely our scientists know more about chemistry that nature does, so surely they should be
able to come up with some far better for our skin than
any of these natural oils and butters you read about.
The term natural means only pure ingredients are used directly from nature as
opposed to synthetic ingredients and organic products simply means that the molecule comprises of carbon and natural skin care products have
no boundaries with regards to organic or natural products.
Limejuice can also be a helpful skin aid.

  2. The store in which you could be buying. To let mother get on with other
tasks in your kitchen, the device provides a countdown timer by having an easily readable digital display.
Research on the company name first.

  3. An electric toothbrush significantly removes tea-, coffee- and tobacco stains
better than a manual toothbrush. It has been seen many a time
that brushing teeth with a manual brush may cause the gums to bleed.
Exactly why the former is really common now is because the same
as each and every brand new contemporary device, it provides the function carried out faster and with less
    work completed.

  4. But having bought such an expensive product there are some care instructions hat needs to be
followed to derive the maximum benefits. The allergens in these
compounds could be bad for people with sensitive skin, and some believe that long term exposure
may be linked to certain cancers, like those of the breast.
Indulging in a warm bubble bath, listening to music and playing
your favourite sport are also good ways of beating stress.
