I do not think that the congressman is a victim of a elaborate account hacking but I hope he is not stupid enough to be sending things over twitter. Maybe he left his phone somewhere and somebody decided to do something crazy with it or maybe he logged on at a cyber cafe and forgot to log out. Weiner even may be just simple enough to have a password like 12345 or something. It happens to the best of us. It just sounds fishy because "my account got hacked" is the convenient excuse. What he is a victim of is a slow news cycle that needs to fill 24 hours worth of time.
Rep. Weiner should have not acknowledged the issue from the beginning and rode with it. Him taking steps to handle it have going horribly wrong for an issue that is going to die in about a week. The biggest issue I have with it is that he is now denying it but leaving the door open to say he did it. Be real with me and just give me a yes or a no answer. I feel you are trying to insult the intelligence of people when you talk in circles and try to leave the door open for a possible fall.
